OFFICIAL MW RELEASE
For Nunn, it is her second weekly conference honor this season and the third in her career. It is also the fifth MW Player of the Week award for the Lobos this season, while Nunn is the first player to repeat the honor.
Nunn’s first honor this season came in week two and was the first of three-straight awards for the Lobos as a team. This most recent honor comes in response to Nunn’s dominant game against Fresno State in UNM’s lone action of the week.
In the game against Fresno, Nunn registered a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. It was her ninth double-double this season and third-straight. Nunn was also highly efficient from the field as she shot 75% going 9-of-12. It was the highest field goal percentage in a game for Nunn with 10 or more attempts.
Nunn’s stellar play helped the Lobos beat Fresno State 82-73 and remain in first place in the Mountain West standings. UNM is also off to its best 20-game start in program history at 18-2 overall.
