ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team is set to take on UC Davis on Sunday, Dec. 29 inside Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit. The Lobos (12-2) are looking to extend their home win streak to 10-0 with a victory over the Aggies (5-9).

UNM enters the contest riding a seven-win streak including 20- and 19-point wins in the last two games, respectively. The Lobos are also 6-0 in the month of December for the first time since 2011-12. A win against UC Davis on Sunday would make the Lobos 10-0 at home, which UNM last achieved in 2009-10 en route to a 30-5 overall record that included a Mountain West Championship and a pair of games in the NCAA Tournament.

Redshirt-senior JaQuan Lyle, who leads the Lobos with 17.9 points per game, is just six points away from 1,000 in his career after racking up 743 points in his time at Ohio State. With his 251 so far as a Lobo, he needs just seven more on Sunday to surpass the 1,000-point threshold for his career.

UC Davis is led by a trio of players averaging scoring in double figures including senior Joe Mooney who is averaging 16.0 points per game.
