Lobo women’s basketball to hold “Pack the Pit” game on December 7
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After not playing a home game since November 12, the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team is set to return to Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit on Saturday, December 7. That afternoon, the Lobos will take on the Wyoming Cowgirls with a scheduled tip-off of 2 p.m.
The long wait for Lobo fans in-between home games will be rewarded with the annual “Pack the Pit” promotion. As part of that promotion, fans can purchase all bench tickets within Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit for the low price of just $5!

In addition to Pack the Pit, there will be a special performance by the Junior Lobo Cheerleaders at halftime of the game with the Cowgirls.
In three regular season home games thus far, the Lobos are 3-0 and have averaged over 4,600 fans, ranking first in the Mountain West and 17th nationally through games played on December 1. Last year’s Pack the Pit promotion drew just over 8,000 fans as UNM beat Fresno State in early February to run their record to 20-4 at the time.
