ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico’s game with Cal State Fullerton was suspended with one out in the top of the seventh inning due to heavy winds that were gusting up to 50 MPH along with rain. New Mexico was leading the game 6-3 at the time of the suspension. The game will be resumed with a runners on first and third and one out in the top of the seventh.
Jeff Deimling for the Lobos was the big hitter for UNM with a three-run home run and a run scoring double. Justin Slaten started for UNM and was about to be removed from the game when the wind, which was very blustery during the game, became just too much.
The resumption and the regularly scheduled game will both be available on the Mountain West Network, and Scott Galetti will have the call for both games on ESPN Radio 101.7 The Team
