APD/Lobo Football Youth Day a Huge Hit
(8/25/2018) APD/Lobo Football Youth DayALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — There might have been a football practice going on, but there was plenty of action all around the Tow Diehm Football Complex on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday the Albuquerque Police Department and Lobo Football teamed up for APD/Lobo Football Youth Day for children from fifth to eighth grade. Safe to say today’s first time event will become an annual affair.
It was sensory for certain. The day started off with a tour of UNM’s facilities, including some time in the Lobo Football weight room, where the kids learned how to do Lobo Jacks and had a push-up contest. After a quick lunch while getting to watch practice from the Tow Diehm End Zone Club, the kids went out to the West Parking Lot to visit with all that APD has to offer. Along with their APD backpacks, kids were able to check out various police vehicles from a bomb car to a mobile crime lab to a fire truck to a SWAT vehicle. Some kids were able to get their pictures on an actual police motorcycle. Some put on fireman’s gear and police gear. Some got to pet one of the two horses from mounted patrol that came to the event.
After their APD tour, the kids made it into Dreamstyle Stadium for a youth clinic with Coach Davie and the team. Kids learned the ins and outs of form tackling, pass catching, and several got to show off their touchdown dances.

Season ticket packages, which start as low as $86 for the six-game season, are also still on sale. Lobo football family packs are still available too. If you visit and spend $50 at Albertsons, $25 at Sadie’s, or purchase tickets to Meow Wolf, you can purchase two adult and two youth season tickets for just $120. That comes down to $5 per person per game. It’s the best price point anywhere in the region for family entertainment.
There are single-game tickets to fit every budget. Fans can pick up Cherry level general admission tickets for just $18. Fans can also pick up tickets in the Lobo Craft Corner (which is located at field level and includes access to a complementary buffet) for just $45. Fans can also sit in the U.S. Bank Zia Club, the U.S. Bank Indoor End Zone Club and the U.S. Bank Outdoor End Zone Club for as little as $67, and those seats come with a complimentary buffet and Pepsi products.
Group sales are also available, with rates available for groups of 25 or more. Single-game group tickets can be purchased for as little as $11 per ticket for Cherry level general admission seats. Fantastic group deals are available in most seating sections including the Lobo Craft Corner ($35 per group ticket) and the U.S. Bank Outdoor End Zone Club ($45 per ticket).
