ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — He has a Stanford education, and he has been entrenched in the Albuquerque community for a while. Lobo fans first heard him with the Albuquerque Isotopes. He called plenty of high school games in New Mexico. So, it was no surprise when he became the Voice of the Lobos, that Robert Portnoy would bring his passion, his smarts, and his knowledge to Lobo broadcasts.
Now, working with a pair of Lobo legends in DonTrell Moore and Hunter Greene, Robert Portnoy has become not just the Voice of the Lobos, but a voice Lobo fans can count on, from Master of Ceremonies at various events, to the Lobo minute to podcasts. He’s not just a broadcaster, he’s a fan.
