Hix named to United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Third Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of New Mexico women’s soccer player Jessie Hix has been named to the Scholar All-West Region Third Team by the United Soccer Coaches as it was announced by the coaches organization on Monday.

Hix, a native of Albuquerque, N.M. is unquestionably a star for the Lobos both on the field and in the classroom as she was lauded as an All-Mountain West First Team performer and was a United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region Third Team selection as a player while also carrying a 3.90 GPA in public health at UNM.
 
This past season as a junior, Hix helped guide the Lobos to a share of the Mountain West Regular Season Championship and a second-straight appearance in the MW Tournament Championship Game as well.
 
Hix would play and start in 18 of 21 games and logged over 1,500 minutes on the field this past season for the Lobos. Statistically, Hix scored four goals and dished out three assists to total 11 points.
