COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the second week in a row, the University of New Mexico women’s soccer team has a player receiving Mountain Week honors as senior forward Jennifer Munoz was named as the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office on Monday.

Munoz, a native of Mission Viejo, Calif. earned the weekly conference honor after she scored a pair of goals in UNM’s regular season finale at San Diego State. It was the first time in her career that Munoz scored multiple goals in a game and was the second time this season for a Lobo to do it as well.
 

Munoz’s first goal in the 13th-minute opened scoring all together in the game, and her second goal in the 53rd-minute put the exclamation mark on the Lobos’ 3-1 win. With the Munoz-fueled win, UNM claimed a share of the Mountain West Regular Season Championship.
 
Munoz and the No. 3-seed Lobos are preparing for their quarterfinal matchup in the Mountain West Tournament against No. 6-seed Colorado College. The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. (MT) on Tuesday, October 30. Fans can follow along LIVE on www.golobos.com/coverage.aspx.
