ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — It’s not quite Halloween, but don’t tell the UNM women’s tennis team that. The Lobos host four other Division I institutions at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium and the Estes Tennis Center in the 2018 UNM Halloween Classic.
The tournament will pit women’s tennis teams from New Mexico State, Iowa State, Colorado State and Illinois State. The format for the Classic will feature three doubles matches in the mornings, pitting two teams against each other. In the early afternoons on Friday and Saturday, the singles competitions will take place with the teams playing different institutions in singles. In all, all five teams will play against each other in singles in doubles. There are no team scores for the Halloween Classic.
All doubles matches will take place at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium, with Friday and Saturday featuring two doubles matches at 8:30 am and a third doubles match featuring UNM at 9:30 am. Singles matches will take place on Friday and Saturday at both the Estes Tennis Center and McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
