ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.–  The New Mexico women’s cross country team remained the top-ranked team in the country, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.

The ranking marks the third poll in-a-row that the Lobos have been ranked No. 1, matching the 2016 season when they spent the first three polls at the top spot.

There was no change in the poll in the first seven team rankings from last week, with UNM earning 330 points and all 11 first-place votes. Colorado remained behind New Mexico with 316 points, and Mountain West competitor Boise State was fifth with 288 points.

New Mexico returns to the course on Sept. 28 with the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational, hosted at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
