Lobos Return Home Tuesday vs UCSB

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s soccer team is set to return home after a three-game road stint with a contest against UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday night at the UNM Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Lobos (2-3-0) are coming off of a narrow loss to No. 23 Tulsa on Friday. UNM fell 2-1 in double overtime after the Golden Hurricanes scored late in the first half. The Lobos found the equalizer just 2:02 into the second half when freshman Omar Grey notched his third goal of his inaugural season.

The teams played even through the remainder of the second half but Tulsa netted the gamewinner in the 107th minute as the final clock wound down.

UC Santa Barbara (3-2-0) is coming off of a 1-0 victory over Butler at home on Saturday. The Gauchos are in search of their first road victory of the season.

The last time the two teams met was on Sept. 7, 2015 when the Lobos claimed a 2-1 victory at home against then-No. 13 UCSB at the UNM Soccer Complex.
