ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s golf team will be sending two individuals to represent the Lobos at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship Regional hosted by Stanford University in San Francisco, Calif. on May 7th.

Representing New Mexico is senior, Ingrid Gutierrez and junior, Darian Zachek. Both Lobos have had incredible showings this 2017-18 season and their selections to go to the NCAA Regional is exactly the opportunity that both of these Lobos deserve.

“Congratulations to two very deserving players who will continue playing into the post season in San Francisco.  As a team we had a lack luster spring season, but Ingrid and Darian played well and had good finishes in those tournaments. It was definitely nerve wrecking waiting until the last few minutes for them to release the names of individuals in each region!  We are excited to get to San Francisco and compete,” from head and associate head coach, Jill Trujillo and Britney Choy.

Gutierrez and Zachek will be joining the competitive field alongside fellow Mountain West Conference member, Abegail Arevalo from San Jose State University.
