New Mexico Game Notes
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Lobos head to Reno, Nevada to take on the Wolf Pack in what amounts to a critical series for the Lobos as the league hits the back-half of conference play.  The games will be Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at noon, all Mountain Times, in Reno.  The final two game times were changed from 7 and 1 p.m.

The Lobos are currently 12-18-1 overall, but more importantly, the squad is 6-9 in the Mountain West and alone in sixth place, one game behind Air Force and Fresno State, and the Lobos do not have the tiebreaker currently with Fresno State.  Only the top four teams will advance to the Mountain West Tournament in San Diego at the end of May.

UNM will throw Justin Slaten on Friday and Cody Dye on Saturday.  Sunday’s starter is TBA.  Nevada is throwing Mark Nowaczewski on Friday and Jake Jackson on Sunday.  The Wolf Pack took two of three in the opening Mountain West series of the year for both teams.
