ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Ski team held its end-of-the-year banquet at Hotel Albuquerque on Tuesday night, and the night was filled with honors and recognitions.
The team, which won three alpine races through the season, handed out its MVP awards, with head coach Fredrik Landstedt presenting the Nordic Awards and assistant coach/head alpine coach Joe Downing.

UNM also recognized its four seniors, Carolyn Lucca, Youri Mougel, Alexandra Sjöström and Rob Greig. Mougel was named the recipient of the Ben Abruzzo Scholarship Award while junior Brenna Egan was named the recipient of the Abruzzo Scholarship Award.
The team also handed out lettermen’s jackets to first-year letter winners: Rebecca Fiegl, Haley Cutler, Carolyn Lucca, Andrea Klementova, Hanna Varjus, Ricaardo Izquierdo Bernier, Sindre Tungesvik and Erlend Nydal.
