UNM GAME NOTES | CSU GAME NOTES
FORT COLLINS, COLO. — Due to weather in Fort Collins, The University of New Mexico softball series scheduled to begin on Friday, April 6 against Colorado State has been pushed back and will instead begin with a doubleheader on Saturday. The series will conclude with a single game on Sunday.
As of now, game times are scheduled for 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday followed by a noon matchup on Sunday. Stay tuned to GoLobos.com and/or follow @UNMLoboSB on Twitter for the latest updates.
All games are currently scheduled to air live on the Mountain West Network but pending weather issues, live stream may not be available – updates will be posted as more information becomes available. Fans can follow live stats HERE.

The Lobos (10-26, 3-6 MW) are coming off of a rivalry win over New Mexico State on Tuesday night in which UNM earned a 13-4 victory over the Aggies in six innings in Las Cruces. The Lobos have won two of their last four games and are 3-3 over their last six.
Colorado State (10-19, 3-3 MW) is resuming Mountain West play with its series against the Lobos after playing four non-conference games. The Rams went 3-1 over their last four including, most recently, a 9-1, five-inning victory over Northern Colorado. Prior to Tuesday’s single game against Northern Colorado, CSU took on Kansas in a three-game series. CSU earned an 8-6 victory in game one in 12 innings followed by a 6-3 loss. They ended the series with a 14-6 win in six innings.
LAST TIME THEY MET
-The last time the Lobos met the Rams was on March 31, April 1 and April 2 last season at home in Albuquerque. UNM claimed the series 2-1, falling in the first game 12-2 in six innings before rallying back for a pair of wins (7-3, 8-6). Jensen Main earned the win and Krissy Fortner posted the save in the 7-3 win. Fortner claimed the 8-6 win.
LAST TIME OUT
-The Lobos earned a six-inning, 13-4 victory over in-state rival New Mexico State on Tuesday evening on the road in Las Cruces. The victory comes after NMSU claimed a 12-7 win over UNM at Lobo Softball Field on March 21.
-In Tuesday night’s game, three Lobos belted homeruns including senior Chelsea Johnson, junior Monica Salas and freshman Andrea Howard. In addition, UNM outhit the Aggies 14-8 while Johnson went 3-for-4 and sophomore Cameryn O’Grady went 3-for-3 from the plate.
BREAKING STREAKS
-The victory over NMSU marks the first time the Lobos have claimed the win the series since March 19, 2014.
-The game marked the end of an eight-win streak for the Aggies over UNM.
-On March 29, the Lobos earned a 4-3 win over Fresno State with a walk-off single from junior Monica Salas in the bottom of the seventh. The victory was the first in the series for the Lobos since April 4, 2014.
-The win over Fresno State snapped an 11-win streak for the Bulldogs over the Lobos.
LOBO STAT LEADERS
-Senior Chelsea Johnson is currently leading the Lobos with a .343 batting average. She posts a team-high 36 hits on six homeruns, five doubles and one triple, tallying a team-best 29 RBI.
-Sophomore Cameryn O’Grady follows with a .326 average. She has blasted eight doubles, two triples and two homeruns so far this season. O’Grady also leads the Lobos in stolen bases, 4-4.
-Freshman Andrea Howard ties Johnson for first on the team with six homeruns and has also hit four doubles and a triple for her .300 average.
RECORD WATCH
-Senior Chelsea Johnson currently ranks 4th in program history in career homeruns with 30. The record is 39.
-Senior Krissy Fortner ranks 4th in UNM history in appearances with 106.
