ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico softball team is set to resume Mountain West play on Friday on the road at Nevada. Due to impending weather however, the schedule for the Friday-Sunday three-game series has been revised and continues to be in flux. Currently the Lobos are slated to play a doubleheader against the Wolf Pack on Friday before playing a single on Saturday.

Games on Friday are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. MT (1/3 p.m. PT) while Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for 2 p.m. MT (1 p.m. PT).

The Lobos enter the matchup coming off of a home loss to in-state rival NMSU on Wednesday night. UNM is 7-22 on the season and 1-2 in conference play. Nevada is 12-14 overall and comes off of a three-game series on the road at Colorado State. The Wolf Pack went 1-2 against the Rams including a 3-4 loss in 10 innings, a 4-2 victory and a 2-0 loss.
UNM is 4-13 all-time against Nevada in series history. Last season, the Lobos went 1-2 at home against Nevada. UNM dropped the first two games 10-2 (6 innings) and 8-2 before claiming the final matchup 9-6.
As a team, the Wolf Pack is is hitting .291 led by five starters batting over .300. Their pitching staff currently posts a 4.00 ERA led by Julia Jenson who is 8-7 on the season with a 3.19 ERA.
For the Lobos, sophomore Jensen Main leads in the circle with a 4-10 record and a 5.97 ERA.
