Colorado Springs, Colo. – New Mexico Lobos junior Darian Zachek has been named the Mountain West Women’s Golfer of the Week. This is Zachek’s first career MW Golfer of the Week honor.

- At the Wildcat Invitational, Zachek tied at first in the field for par 5 scoring at -7 under par.
- Zachek has led the team in both tournaments played this spring season in each 6 rounds she has played.
- At the Rebel Beach Invitational, Zachek earned 7 birdies in the team’s total of 33.
- Zachek beat 10 players ranked inside the top-100 including UCLA’s Bethany Wu who ranks 16th, Haley Moore (Arizona) ranked 38th, Polly Mack (UNLV) ranked 68.
- Zachek has had 5 top-16 finishes out of the 6 events this 2017-18 season.
