TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of New Mexico women’s golf team is heading back out onto the green for the Wildcat Invitational hosted by University of Arizona.
The spring season kicked off for the Lobos at the Rebel Beach Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada during the last week of February. Even though the team found a top-10 finish, overall, they expected to come out stronger against the field. With a week in between these two invitationals, the team was able to reset and regroup for this competitive field.
“We’re buckling down on course management and decision making on the course,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “Sewailo has some tricky holes, so club selection will be very important.”
There will be a shotgun start on Monday, March 5th and both the first and second rounds will be completed on day one.
