ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team hosts its Lobos Love Pink Game 2 p.m. Saturday as the Lobos take on Air Force at Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit.

Fans can get $5 bench seat tickets if they wear pink to the game or if they bring a plush animal for the BeKind Halftime Toss where fans will toss their plush animals onto the Dreamstyle Arena floor.
 

As for the Lobos, they will be looking to bounce back after falling to Boise State 91-85 on Wednesday night in Boise. Jaisa Nunn (25 points), Tesha Buck (25 points) and Cherise Beynon (24 points) combined for 74 of UNM’s 85 points, however Boise State (14-9, 8-4) shot a blistering 53.2 percent from the field (33-for-62) – including 7-for-15 from 3-point range (46.7 percent) and 18-for-20 from the free-throw line (90 percent) – to avenge a 100-83 loss to the Lobos earlier this season in Albuquerque.

To go along with her 25 points, Nunn grabbed 10 rebounds (seven of for her Mountain West-best 14th double-double of the season. Buck added six assists, six rebounds and three steals with her 25 points while Beynon had six assists and five rebounds with her 24 points. The Lobos shot 42 percent from the field (29-for-69), including 38.1 percent (8-for-21) from 3-point range. UNM was also accurate from the free-throw line, going 19-for-22 (86.4).

Air Force is coming off a 61-50 loss at Colorado State on Wednesday, though picked up their second win of the season the game before against San Diego State at home, 61-51. Since falling to UNM earlier in the season to move to 0-12, the Falcons broke their 17-game losing streak to start the season against Utah State on Jan. 24 – 57-50.

The Falcons will be looking to slow down the pace against the top-scoring team in the conference in UNM (eighth in the nation) as Air Force is fourth in the conference in points allowed per game (64.6) in the MW (the Falcons are last in the conference in scoring at 55.7 per game). Air Force does much of its damage within the 3-point arc as the Falcons are last in the MW in 3-point percentage (26.6) and in 3-pointers made (85).

Kaelin Immel continues to lead the Falcons in scoring at 14.7 points per game and is the team’s most dangerous 3-point threat – hitting 47 of the team’s 85 3-pointers this season. Emily Conroe is also averaging double figures for Air Force at 10.2 points per game and is the team’s second-best 3-point threat having hit 24 3-pointers this year. Cortney Porter is the team’s top threat on the boards at 6.4 per game while she’s third on the team in scoring at 9.7 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY
The Lobos are 40-2 against Air Force all-time, including beating the Falcons 88-59 on Dec. 28 in Colorado. Jaisa Nunn led the Lobos with 18 points and nine rebounds while Alex Lapeyrolerie had 16 points and Madi Washington had 13 points. UNM is 20-0 all-time against Air Force in Albuquerque. Overall, the Lobos have won nine games in a row against the Falcons.
 
THE COACHES
The Lobos are led by head coach Mike Bradbury in his second season with UNM, his 11th season overall. Bradbury posts a career record of 211-139 and is 33-22 at the helm of the Lobos.

Air Force is coached by Chris Gobrecht and she’s 7-73 with the Falcons in her third season and is 549-547 overall as a collegiate coach in her 38th season.
