ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team hits the road on Saturday at Fresno State in search of its first road win of the season. The Lobos enter the game coming off of back-to-back conference victories over San José State and Wyoming at home.
Last time the Lobos and the Bulldogs squared off was last season in the 2017 Mountain West Quarterfinals. Fresno State knocked UNM out of the tournament by a score of 65-60.

SERIES HISTORY
The Lobos lead the series history over the Bulldogs 15-11 despite falling in the last two matchups. Fresno State knocked the Lobos out of the 2017 Mountain West Tournament last season with a 65-60 defeat on March 9.
At home, UNM is 10-1 over the Bulldogs, but on the road, Fresno State holds a lofty 3-9 advantage.
In their last six meetings, UNM has gone 2-4, prior to that stretch, the Lobos had gone on a six-game win streak over Fresno State from 1999-2014.
THE COACHES
UNM head coach Paul Weir enters the game 8-10 in his first season at the helm of the Lobos, 36-16 in his career. Fresno State is led by Rodney Terry in his seventh season. Terry has guided the Bulldogs to a 12-6 record this season, 117-103 in his tenure.
