2017 Lobo Football Ticket Cental

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After a record breaking 2016 campaign for Lobo football, Vice President for Athletics Paul Krebs and head coach Bob Davie are giving season ticket holders even more to cheer about. Bucking the national trend of conventional ticket price increases, Paul Krebs announced today that Lobo Football is reducing season ticket prices 10 percent across the board.

“We are constantly evaluating ways to get more fans to come enjoy Lobo football, and we have a product that we are very proud of,” said Paul Krebs. “We want to give our fans every reason to buy season tickets and come support their Lobos. We feel that the reduction of season ticket prices does that.”

This effort to enhance the fan base is nothing new to Lobo football and the University of New Mexico Athletic Department. Over the past five seasons, Lobo football fans have seen numerous enhancements to their game day experience at University Stadium. The stadium holds the largest video board in the Mountain West Conference, as well as an upgraded sound system. Over the past year, the Lobos have also introduced a new concessionaire partner in Levy Restaurants, who in addition to offering many game day specials, have added items to their menu to capture the tastes unique to New Mexico.

28008This past season, sales of beer and wine were launched at University Stadium, as well as the new viewing area – the Chama River Brewing Company Craft Corner. This area is located in the south end zone at field level and offers fans a new game day experience to enjoy Lobo football.

Along with seeing the top-ranked rushing team in the country, Lobo fans were provided with a special game day giveaway at each home game. Whether it was a Lobo Sports Bammie or Lobo Texting Gloves, fans left with a memento from each home event. Regardless of the giveaways, Lobo fans tend to go home happy from games, as the Lobos have gone 11-3 in their last 14 regular season games at University Stadium.

On Feb. 4, Lobo Athletics sent out a season ticket holder survey to their fans soliciting feedback regarding their game day experiences. The survey serves as a tool for Lobo Athletics to engage their stake holders and continue to enhance the service provided to fans through feedback.

“I know all of us recognize the benefits of having a large crowd when we play at home here in Albuquerque,” said Davie. “We appreciate the support our season ticket holders have given us over the past several seasons. This is our way of giving something back to them as we continue to build this program into something we can all be proud of.”

2016 Lobo football season ticket holders will have their seats held through the renewal process, which will begin in early April.

The Lobos open their 2017 season versus Abilene Christian on Sept. 2 and host in-state rival New Mexico State the following week on Sept. 9. Rounding out the 2017 home schedule are Mountain West Conference matchups versus Air Force, UNLV, Utah State and Colorado State.
