FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The University of New Mexico women’s diving team competed in the final day of the NAU Diving Invitational on Sunday, diving on platform. The Lobos dove in three events total throughout the invitational, and there was no team scoring for the meet.
25 divers competed in the final event, five of which were from UNM, and there was no qualification round to advance to the finals. The Lobos were led by sophomore Natasha Dark, who placed 12th. Dark posted a final score of 202.70. Dark was followed by junior Allyson Concepcion. Concepcion finished with a score of 197.00, which was good for 14th in the event.

Tiendas followed, placing 18th with a final score of 187.75. McDonald rounded out the Lobos’ field, placing 22nd with a final score of 161.50.
“I thought we had some good things going this weekend, but we were never able to put them all together,” said head diving coach Julie Weddle. “We did have some good tower training and the event was a good team building experience, but we need a lot of big competition training.”
The swimming and diving team will be back in action on December 2 at 10 a.m. when they host the Cherry v. Silver Invite.
