Lobos Reveal New Dreamstyle Arena Floor
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Athletic Department is pleased to reveal the all new flooring and design on Bob King Court at Dreamstyle Arena. Both the Lobo men’s and women’s basketball teams will hit the floor for the first time this November as they tip off the 2017-18 seasons.
While events leading up to the fall semester have allowed many fans to view the new design up close and personal, the department wanted to make sure that all who have not had the opportunity to stop by could see the new court in advance of the upcoming season.
“To be able to use Larry’s expertise in redesigning our floor was truly a blessing,’ head men’s basketball coach Paul Weir said. “It’s a fresh look with tremendous appeal that I’m sure our fans will love.”
The new floor on Bob King Court was designed in partnership with Dreamstyle Remodeling and features:
-both “New Mexico” and “The Pit” on the baselines
-the new university interlocking UNM logo
-fresh Mountain West logos customized in the Lobo cherry and silver
-cherry free throw lines
-dual Dreamstyle Arena logos on both sides of center court.
“I think the court looks great,” women’s basketball head coach Mike Bradbury said. “Our kids really like the design and can’t wait to get out there.”
“New coach, new athletic director, new court, new spirit, new enthusiasm. Let’s Go Lobos!” Larry Chavez of Dreamstyle Remodeling said.
