ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico Athletic Department has announced that all faculty and staff buying tickets Thursday through Saturday for this weekend’s Rio Grande Rivalry game with New Mexico State can get up to four tickets at 50% off.
The faculty/staff discount is available only for in-person purchases at the Dreamstyle Arena Ticket Office (open 8:30 am to 5 pm Thursday and Friday) or at the UNM Bookstore (10 am to 6 pm Thursday and Friday, noon to 4 pm on Saturday). The Dreamstyle Stadium ticket windows open at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Faculty and staff must present valid, up-to-date ID. The 50% discount is good for up to four seats in any section, subject to availability.
The Lobos are 1-0 on the season after a season-opening win over Abilene Christian. The game is packed with events as well. Not only will there be terrific tailgating and 3,000 Rollabanas and 2,000 Lobo Koozies given away to attendees, but there will be plenty of in-game and postgame entertainment as well. During the first half, UNM will introduce new Athletic Director Eddie Nuñez, Terance Mathis will be inducted into the Football Ring of Honor, and there will be a formal dedication of Dreamstyle Stadium with Larry Chavez, Sr.
Souvenir Terance Mathis cups will be used for all Pepsi products for this game, and there will be a postgame fireworks show as well.
