ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Whether it was the 90-plus energetic kids during the Lobo Youth Day Camp held Monday through Thursday last week (July 10-13) or the eighth-graders through college sophomores attending the Lobo Summer College ID Camp Saturday and Sunday (July 15-16), it was a busy – and fun – week for the University of New Mexico women’s soccer program.
(7/17/2017) Women’s Soccer 2017 Lobo Youth Day CampThe young children at the Lobo Youth Day Camp (which had its highest attendance in the camp’s history) focused on improving their technical skill while also doing group exercises and games – along with a skill challenge. The Lobo Summer College ID Camp gave athletes a a chance to be trained and evaluated by the UNM coaching staff in a fun, fast-paced environment.

“Anytime we get this many players – and so many from New Mexico – to come on campus and let them get to know and enjoy our culture here it’s a great thing,” said Dyche, who is a New Mexico native and is entering her third season as head coach. “Hopefully we get to see some of those players as Lobos in the future.”

The Lobo women’s soccer coaching staff would like to thank all of the players, parents, guardians and so on who helped make this last week a memorable one!

UNM opens its season Aug. 18 at home against San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. as the Lobos host the Lobo Invitational.
