ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico volleyball program and head coach Jeff Nelson are seeking funding as they aim to install a large alumni video board in its home facility, Johnson Center, for the 2017 season.

The video board, which is slated to measure approximately 12 feet by 6 feet, would offer the Lobo volleyball program the opportunity to show video replays, support its sponsors and produce player intros during matches at Johnson Center.
Currently, Johnson Center, which opened in 1957 and has served as the home for New Mexico volleyball from 1985-95 and again from 1999-present, only sports two Daktronic scoreboards.
To add the proposed video board, Nelson and his staff, including program alumna and assistant coach Pauline Manser, would need to fundraise around $50,000. The plan is to reach out to alumni, family, friends and members of the volleyball community for contributions.
