ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After being on the road for the first four weekends of the season, the University of New Mexico softball team will finally open its home schedule this weekend, taking on UTEP in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. The second game will start at approximately at 4 p.m.
*NOTE: Fans will need to enter from the south side of the stadium due to other events going on at The Pit.

Series History
Lobos lead the all-time series 11-8 and have won the last five of six meetings.
ABOUT THE LOBOS
The Lobos come into the game with a 9-9 overall record. The Lobos are coming off their first series win of the season, taking down Northern Colorado last weekend in the final two games of the three-game series.
The Lobos fell in game one 11-3 in five innings but returned the favor by defeating the Bears 12-1 in five innings in game two. The Lobos came out on top in the finale 9-5.
Jasmine Casados and Chelsea Johnson each went 5-for-10 last weekend. Casados finished with a .700 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base percentage. The two combined for three doubles and eight RBIs.
In the circle, Jensen Main picked up both the Lobo victories. In her nine innings of work, she allowed three runs, two earned off 10 hits, while walking none and striking out six. She held her opponents to a .270 batting average and had a 1.56 earned run average.
On the season, Casados is leading the team at the plate with a .448 batting average. She has a team-leading six doubles to go along with a team-leading 14 RBIs. She has a team-best .603 slugging percentage and a .484 on-base percentage.
In the circle, Main leads the squad with a 4-3 record and a 2.19 earned run average. Tess McPherson is second on the team in earned run average at 3.52. McPherson holds her batters to a team-best .225 batting average.
