ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After falling in all five games last weekend at the Texas A&M Invitational, the University of New Mexico softball team will look to get back on track this weekend at the UTSA Classic. The Lobos’ game against UTSA on Friday after noon at 2 p.m. will be live for fans to watch, click here (login or subscription could be required).

ABOUT THE LOBOS
The Lobos will look get back on the winning side of things this weekend. They coming to the weekend with a 4-6 record. Their most recent loss was the closest they were to a win at the Texas Invitational. They fell 7-6 to Missouri State last Sunday but had the lead going into the seventh inning.
Senior Jasmine Casados led the Lobos for the second straight weekend at the plate. She hit a team-best .438, going 7-for-16 at the plate. She had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. She finished with a .563 slugging percentage and a .438 on-base percentage.
As a team, the Lobos are hitting .234. They pounded out 29 hits last weekend at the Texas A&M Invitational, including six doubles and two home runs for 10 total RBIs.
On the pitching side of things, the Lobos have an earned run average of 3.61 and a .280 opponent batting average. Tess McPherson, who earned Mountain West Pitcher of the Week over a week ago, leads the squad with a 2.60 ERA. She is 3-2 on the season. In 32.1 innings of work, she has allowed 16 runs off 28 hits while striking out 13.

She went 5-for-13 at the plate with a double, triple, a runs scored and three RBIs.
