ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team continues to prove its prowess both on the court and in the classroom as the team finished the 2016 fall semester with a 3.33 grade point average, the athletic department announced Friday.
The outstanding 3.33 GPA marks the 33rd straight semester that the women’s basketball team has achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, the 2016 fall semester marks the third straight semester that the Lobos have finished above a 3.30.
UNM looks to continue its success, both in the classroom and on the floor, as the Lobos take on Nevada at home on Saturday at 7 p.m. New Mexico will also host Northern N.M. on Sunday at 2 p.m. The back-to-back games will help prepare UNM for quick opponent turnaround resembling conference tournament play.
