Lobo women’s soccer with 4th-best GPA in program history

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team put up one of its best semesters in the classroom in program history as the Lobos finished with a 3.62 team GPA for the 2016 Fall semester.

The 3.62 GPA is the fourth-best mark in Lobo women’s soccer history. It also gives the program 13 consecutive semesters of having a 3.4 GPA or better and 21 consecutive semesters of 3.0 or better.

The Lobo women’s soccer team and the rest of the UNM department programs combined to post a 3.30 GPA – tied for the second highest in school history. Also, UNM helped the female student-athletes accumulate a 3.55 GPA – the second best mark in UNM history.

The Lobos are coming off a 9-7-3 season overall in 2016 and a 5-5-1 record in Mountain West play.
