ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico baseball team will head to Lubbock, Texas and the campus of Texas Tech University as a three seed in the NCAA Regional Tournament.
 
The Lobos, who clinched their automatic bid with a Mountain West Conference Championship, is set to face second-seeded Dallas Baptist Friday, June 3, at 6 p.m. CST. In the early matchup at 2 p.m. CST, top-seeded Texas Tech will play fourth-seeded Fairfield. The tournament is a double-elimination format and lasts until Monday, June 6, if necessary.

The Lobos will be making their sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and fifth since 2010. The Lobos last took part in NCAA Regionals for four straight years from 2010-2013. In 2013, the Lobos played in the Fullerton regional and were a tough out, only losing by a single run in the 13th inning of their elimination game.
