2015-16 Lobos Honored at Annual Men’s Basketball Banquet

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team held the 2015-16 Men’s Basketball Awards Banquet, presented by Branch Law Firm, at the Albuquerque Embassy Suites Thursday evening.
 
Head coach Craig Neal honored his team Thursday and looked back on the past season. Highlights of the night included several individual awards, including the 2016 Bob King Most Valuable Player award that went to both Elijah Brown and Tim Williams. Several Lobos were honored after their first year of competition with their official lettermen’s jackets. Finally, three seniors, Tim Jacobs, Connor Joy and Michael Nesbitt, were honored after ending their great careers at New Mexico.

Highest Free Throw Percentage: Anthony Mathis
 
Leading Rebounder: Tim Williams
 
Most Assists: Cullen Neal
 
Most Charges Taken: Xavier Adams
 
Most Improved Player:
Dane Kuiper
 
Sixth Man Award: Xavier Adams
 
Outstanding Defensive Player: Obij Aget and Sam Logwood
 
Academic Achievement Award: Cullen Neal
 
Lobo Award (Best all-around student-athlete): Connor Joy and Cullen Neal
 
Bob King MVP Award: Elijah Brown and Tim Williams
