NICEVILLE, Fla. – The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team will compete in the 2017 Destin Reality Emarald Coast Classic, taking place in November, as announced by Global Sports Wednesday.
The first and second-round games will be played at on-campus sites Nov. 11 through Nov. 21, with the third round and championship round scheduled Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 24-25 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Fla.
Along with New Mexico, Maryland, St. Bonaventure and TCU headline the tournament. Maryland played in the 2016 NCAA Men’s basketball tournament, advancing to the South Regional Sweet 16. The Terrpins were ranked No. 22 in the lastest USA Today Coaches Poll with a 7-1 record.
Rounding out the list of teams competing in the tournament is Jackson State, Maryland Eastern Shore, Nebraska-Omaha and Tennessee Tech.

The Lobos are currently 5-2 on the season and will face Illinois State in the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge Saturday on the road. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. MST/7 p.m. CST and will be available on ESPN3.
