ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico softball staff will be hosting clinics this coming January. All sessions will take place on Saturday, January 14th and Sunday, January 15th. Topics to be covered include two pitching sessions, two catching sessions, hitting, infield and outfield defensive skills. Participants can sign up by session. All Sessions will be held at the Lobo Softball Field.
All participants will work closely with the New Mexico coaching staff, as well as members of the 2016-2017 Lobo softball team.
Saturday’s pitching session, pitching mechanics, will cover the basics of the pitching motion to throw with more effectiveness and velocity. Sunday’s pitching clinic will be the more advanced session and focus on the mechanics of throwing different pitches. Please see registration link above for session times and cost. All clinics, with the exception of Sunday’s pitching clinic, are available for any and all entrants 10 years and up. We ask that you be 12 years old and up to participate in Sunday’s advanced pitching, catching and all skills clinic.
