Men’s Golf Adds Two Signees for 2017-18 Campaign

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s golf team has added two recruits for the upcoming 2017-18 campaign.
 
The first signee is Augustin Holé, a three-time collegiate champion, who hails from Cherbourg, France. The 6’1 19 year old is currently enrolled at Odessa College and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2017.
 
The two-time consecutive Odessa Intercollegiate champion, Holé was named a NJCAA All-American in 2016.
 
During 2016 Holé was the champion of four tournaments, two of which came in France. He was the champion of the Grand Prix de Chiberta, who’s field included a bevy of European Tour players.
 
Holé has had success in match play tournaments as well as evidenced by his win at the Grand Prix Of Dinard. He also finished 2nd at the French championship in 2014 and lost in the semi-final in the 2016 installment of the same tournament.
 
The second signee for Head Coach Glen Millican is Galven Green, the younger brother of UNM’s all-time winningest player Gavin Green.
 
Galven has an impressive resume already built up heading into his college career that includes a tie for 39th performance a the 2016 Greystone Invitational, top-25 performances at the 2016 Malaysian Amateur Open (T24), and US Junior Amateur (T25) Championships, and 35th place finish at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament, in Jakarta Indonesia, an Asian Developmental Tour professional event.
 
His Junior career included a first place finished at the 44th Southern Junior Championship where he shot a final round 66 to secure the win, a second place finish at the 100 plus Malaysian Junior Open where he shot a final round 67, and is rounded out by a 4th place finish at the 2016 Negeri Sembilan Amateur Open.
