ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — McDonald’s in partnership with The University of New Mexico Lobos’ Spirit Program are coming together on Friday, Nov. 11 to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of New Mexico (RMHC-NM) in Albuquerque by encouraging customers to donate to the “Give a Hand” national fundraiser. The event will take place between 10 a.m. and noon at the McDonald’s across from UNM, located at 2200 Central Ave. SE.
During the event, The UNM Spirit Program will be giving away tickets to the final home home football game of the season (Nov. 26) to the first 100 customers. McDonald’s will also be offering a free small coffee with the purchase of an All Day Breakfast menu item and will be offering complimentary samples of their McCafe Pumpkin Spice Latte. Plus, customers will have an opportunity to take photos with and meet the Lobo Spirit Squad.
“We are so grateful to McDonald’s for helping us raise awareness and donations through this fundraiser and to the UNM Lobo Spirit Program for partnering on this event,” Kristin Rortvedt, general manager of RMHC-NM in Albuquerque. “When children face a serious medical crisis, RMHC-NM provides a home away from home so families can be near them and no family is ever turned away. So these fundraisers are critical in helping us to provide that care.”

McDonald’s “Give a Hand” fundraiser began on Nov. 1 and continues through Nov. 13 at all New Mexico McDonald’s locations. Give a Hand is a national fundraiser launched by McDonald’s to support the Ronald Mc Donald House of NM and the families RMHC-NM supports. Guests can support the fundraiser by purchasing a tear off sheet for $1, $3 or $5 with 100% of proceeds going to RMHC-NM.
