ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Just a day after the annual Lobo Howl, the University of New Mexico men’s basketball team will be holding a practice out at the Kirtland Air Force Base this Saturday, Oct. 15. The Lobos will practice and sign autographs strictly for the individuals on base.
Kirtland Air Force Base has been an integral part of the Albuquerque community since it was opened in 1942 in the midst of World War II. The University of New Mexico Athletic Department has a special relationship with the base in which the Lobos honor those men and women who serve at this all-important base with specific games dedicated to them.
Season tickets for men’s basketball are on sale now and can be purchased at the Lobo Howl Friday evening. Season ticket sales will be located on the northeast corner of the concourse.
