ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team kicks off its 2016 campaign 6 p.m. Sunday when the Lobos host Eastern New Mexico in an exhibition matchup at UNM Soccer Complex.

UNM is coming off a 10-win season in 2015 in Heather Dyche’s first season at the helm, becoming the third Lobo women’s soccer coach to win 10 games in their debut season in program history. The Lobos will have 13 newcomers – including 12 freshmen – on this year’s roster while returning 21 to a team that finished third in the Mountain West Conference with a 7-3-1 mark in 2015 and made it to the Mountain West Tournament semifinals (falling in penalty kicks).
