Men’s Soccer Continues Strong Academic Streak

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The men’s soccer team earned a cumulative 3.31 grade point average for the Spring of 2016, continuing a streak of at least a 3.3 GPA in each of the last 10 semesters, coving a span of the last five years.

Even better, the men’s soccer program, which has flourished academically and athletically under head coach Jeremy Fishbein ran it’s streak of at least a 3.1 GPA to 28 straight semesters.  That covers every semester of Fishbein’s career at UNM, a wonderous streak considering in the previous 14 years prior to his arrival, the men’s soccer program had just three such semesters, covering 28 semesters.

Lobo soccer has always been solid in the classroom.  The team academically was led by Josh Dye, who was named CoSIDA First Team Academic All-America in the Fall.  He was the 19th CoSIDA Academic All-American in the history of the Lobo soccer program, and that total is the most of any men’s soccer program in the nation, regardless of division.
