QUICK HITS
LOBOS WALK-OFF ON SENIOR DAY
It was probably one of their most exciting games of the season as the Lobos went 10 innings with San Diego State on Senior Day. What made it so special was that a senior hit a walk-off two-run bomb to win the game, a senior got the win in the circle, a senior scored the game-winning run and a senior player incredible defense in the outfield that contributed in the win. Lisa Rodrigues was the one who smacked the two-run shot. Lauren Soles claimed her sixth win of the season in the circle. Karissa Haleman scored the game-winning run and Mariah Rimmer player great defense in center to secure the victory.
LOBOS FELL TO NMSU
The Lobos fell to New Mexico State last week, falling 3-2 in eight innings. The Lobos had a 1-0 lead going into the seventh inning but NMSU tied the game up off a pass ball. NMSU went on to scored two runs in the eighth. The Lobos tried to get more across but one was all that happened.
RIMMER BECOMING A TOP PLAYER IN UNM HISTORY
Senior Mariah Rimmer has made her mark here at the University of New Mexico. She will go down as one of the top players in UNM history. Rimmer is in the top 10 of many career categories for the Lobos, including batting average (1st, .358), slugging percentage (5th, .531), on-base percentage (6th, .408), at-bats (3rd, 674), runs scored (2nd, 139), hits (2nd, 241), doubles (5th, 39), triples (7th, 9), home runs (7th, 20), RBI (4th, 124), total bases (1st, 358) and stolen bases (7th, 62).
