BATON ROUGE, La. – After round one of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, the New Mexico Lobos currently sit in 15th place overall after shooting 313 (+25) as a team. Eva Saulnier will tee off first for the Lobos tomorrow, May 6th, at 8:24 a.m. on hole number 10.
Atop the leaderboard by four strokes is Washington with a round one team total score of 286 (-2). South Carolina is close behind with a team score of 290 (+2), followed by Oregon in third at 292 (+4) and Florida in fourth at 293 (+5). Rounding out the top five is Houston with a seven-over 275.
Sharing the top spot on the individual leaderboard is Houston’s Leonie Harm and Washington’s Ying Luo with matching three-under scores of 69. Fourteen individual players currently have scores of par-even 72 or less.
Pacing the Lobos is Manon Molle’ with a first round card of 77 (+5). Molle’ is currently tied for 50th place in a field of 96 individuals. Ingrid Gutierrez and Darian Zachek are currently tied for 61st place with matching six-over scores of 78.
The Lobos look to move up the rankings tomorrow in round two of competition.
