Men’s Soccer Keeps Rolling With Win Over Colorado Springs

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men’s soccer team continued their undefeated spring this weekend, taking a 1-0 victory at home over Colorado-Colorado Springs.

The Lobos played their only spring match in Albuquerque over a strong Colorado Springs team. The Mountain Lions were coming off a 13 win season and went 8-2 in the strong RMAC in 2015.

The Lobos went with Ford Parker in goal and in front of him: Seligman, Rochowski, Dorsey, Herrera, Kajermo, Gurule, Spangenberg, Goss, Camera and Lawrence.

However, the winner came late from Niko Hansen in the 99th minute. It was his seventh goal in what has been a red hot exhibition season. Defensively, Parker picked up the clean sheet in his second consecutive start.

The Lobos, holding a 5-0-1 record this spring, will close exhibition play on April 30 against Denver in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
