MOUNTAIN WEST SCENARIOS
No. 5-7 Seeds: If UNLV, New Mexico and Utah State, all win or all lose on Friday, a 3-way tie exists. In a head-to-head comparison of the three teams, UNLV would rise to the No. 5 seed with a 2-1 record against UNM (2-2) and USU (1-2). We would then revert back to the 2-way tie break between UNM and USU. The teams split the 2015-16 series (1-1). The tie would be broken on the next step by a comparison of season records against CSU – UNM is 0-1 to USU’s 0-2 record vs. CSU. UNM would be the No. 6 seed and USU would be the No. 7 seed.

* If UNLV and UNM end up in a 2-way tie (1-1 in season series): The higher seed would go to UNM with an 0-1 record vs. CSU, compared to UNLV’s 0-2 record vs. CSU.
* If UNLV and USU end up in a 2-way tie: UNLV holds the higher seed due to a 1-0 series win during the season.
* If UNM and USU end up in a 2-way tie (1-1 in season series): UNM would receive the higher seed due to an 0-1 record vs. CSU, compared to USU’s 0-2 record vs. CSU.
