Lobos to Host the Mountain-Pacific Invite

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The University of New Mexico men’s tennis squad is set to host the second annual Mountain-Pacific Invitational this weekend where they welcome seven other tennis teams, including last years defending tournament champions, San Francisco.
 
The Lobos are currently 8-10 in the season after a trio of matches last weekend. They upset No. 44 BYU and came out victorious in both matches of their doubleheader verse Air Force.
 
The Lobos are seeded #2 in the tournament and will take on San Francisco first. They play Friday at 12 p.m. All UNM matches will take place at McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium.
 
Pacific is seeded first in the tournament, Utah State third and Santa Clara fourth. Along with the teams mentioned, Hawai’i, New Mexico State, and Grand Canyon will be coming to Albuquerque for the invite.
 
Matches start at 9 a.m. Friday, run throughout the day and carry on to Saturday. For a look at the complete tournament draw, click here.
