LOBOS GO 3-2 AT MARY NUTTER
New Mexico went 3-2 over last weekend, claiming wins over Loyola Marymount, Bethune-Cookman and Pacific. They fell in a heartbreak, 2-1, to Arkansas to start the tournament and also fell in another tough one 8-7 to No. 25 ranked Texas A&M.

TOUGH LOSS TO RANKED AGGIES
It was a tough one on Sunday afternoon as the Lobos had No. 25 ranked Texas A&M with their backs against the wall. The Lobos let the Aggies 4-3 after the second inning and used great pitching to keep them off balance until the seventh inning. Those blanks gave the Lobos a window to score more runs, which they did, leading the Aggies 7-3 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. But the Aggies gained momentum in that final half-inning as they led off with a home run, followed with a triple and three straight singles and finished by scoring on a drop third strike throw to first base.

OFFENSE EXPLODES OVER THE WEEKEND
The Lobos know they can score. Over last weekend, they outscored their opponents 35-24. They came up with a big win over Pacific. Pacific started off their season with a win over No. 3 LSU but was downed by the Lobos in five innings by a score of 13-6. The Lobos pounded out 48 hits total for the weekend with their season-high of 16 coming in the win over Pacific.
