ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team (16-11, 9-5 MW) will finish its Colorado road trip with a Tuesday tilt against the Colorado State Rams (14-13, 6-8 MW) at 8 p.m. MST on CBS Sports Network.

The Lobos are looking to rebound from Saturday’s road loss to Air Force, 76-72. The Falcons evened the slate on the season against the Lobos and have not lost a home game in nearly a month. Elijah Brown scored 32 points in defeat, one short of his career high.

The Lobos move on to a team they have defeated in 35 of the last 41 matchups. The Lobos will look to keep that run of success alive and hold down second place in the Mountain West Conference heading into a home game with Fresno State on Saturday.

The Rams are the highest scoring team in the league at 79.6 points per game, but have had an up and down season. The Rams are two games under .500 in league play and are currently on a three game losing streak. Prior to their recent skid, the team had put together impressive back-to-back wins against Nevada and Boise State.

The Coaches:
Head coach Craig Neal enters Tuesday with a 58-34 overall record in his third season. 23 of those 58 wins have come on the road, which ranks second all-time at New Mexico for coaches in their first three seasons. Before he arrived at New Mexico alongside former head coach Steve Alford, no coach at New Mexico had ever won 20 road and neutral games in their first three seasons. Larry Eustachy is in year four at Colorado State and has won a total of 485 games in his career. He has previously coached at Idaho, Iowa St. and Southern Miss.

The Series:
The Lobos and Rams will meet for the 119th time in program history on Tuesday. This is the seventh longest rivalry in New Mexico history and second longest against a Mountain West opponent. The Lobos hold a record of 74-44 overall against Colorado State in a series that dates back to Dec. 20, 1940. The series is largely dominated by the home team. Although the Lobos are 44-5 against the Rams inside WisePies Arena, they are 23-31 in Fort Collins.

Broadcast Information:
The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. MST. Fans can find CBSSN on Comcast channels 274/838 (HD), DISH channel 158 and DirecTV channel 221.
