ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The University of New Mexico men’s tennis team is on the road once again. They are heading to New York, N.Y. to take on Columbia at home on Friday followed by two matches in Philadelphia on Saturday.
The Lobos are currently 2-8 after facing some tough ranked teams. They have wins over University of the Pacific and UC Irvine. Their first opponent, No. 15 Columbia, is 4-3, coming off a three match losing streak. They have wins over Minnesota and Stanford.Columbia will be the third team the Lobos face that is a top 15 ranked team this season.
The squad will turn around and then play a doubleheader on Saturday in Philadelphia, Penn., where they will take on Monmouth in the morning and Penn later in the evening at 7 p.m.
Monmouth is 4-1 in the season with a win over Connecticut. Host Penn is 3-6 in the season with wins over Navy and Dartmouth.
The Lobos will play at 2 p.m. Friday before they head to Philadelphia.
