ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico beach volleyball team has been around for less than two years, but they perform like season veterans in the classroom.
The Lobos posted a team GPA of 3.49 for the Fall 2015 semester, the third straight semester — of a possible three semesters — that the team registered a mark of at least 3.4.
The beach team combined with the rest of the women’s sports at UNM for a 3.57 GPA, the best-ever by the all of the women’s teams. It’s the 11th-straight semester of at least a 3.4 by the combined women’s teams, as well.
The Lobos open their second beach volleyball season in just over two weeks as they head to Sun Devil Challenge in Tempe, Ariz., from March 4-5.
