ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s soccer team finished the Fall 2015 semester with a team grade point average of 3.59, as released by the athletic department Monday.

The mark continues the trend of academic success for the program. The Lobos have now posted a GPA of 3.4 or better for 11 straight seasons. The team improved from the previous fall season, in which the Lobos posted a team GPA of 3.49.

The high standard for the women’s soccer program has been recognized over the years, with 2015 marking the 10th straight year in which the Lobos earned Academic All-District honors. This past season, a pair of seniors, Cassie Ulrich from Rio Rancho, N.M. and Alyssa Coonrod from Albuquerque, N.M., were named to the 2015 CoSIDA/Academic All-District VII Team. Ulrich, who was named for the third consecutive season, was a first team selection at goalkeeper while Coonrod was a second team pick at midfield.

The Lobos, currently in the midst of winter training, will continue to perform in the classroom and prepare for its upcoming spring exhibition season.
