ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico athletic department will distribute Lobo hoops student tickets on campus Monday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. on the plaza outside the SUB. Tickets to Lobo basketball games are free to UNM students who are enrolled in at least six credit hours.
Student tickets will be distributed for the following men’s and women’s basketball games:Jan. 30, 2 p.m. – women’s basketball vs. Boise StateFeb. 2, 6 p.m. – men’s basketball vs. UNLVFeb. 6, 2 p.m. – women’s basketball vs. San Diego StateFeb. 10, 7 p.m. – women’s basketball vs. Utah StateFeb. 13, 4 p.m. – men’s basketball vs. San Jose State
“Student support is crucial to the success of our program,” said men’s basketball head coach Craig Neal. “When our student section is packed and loud, it creates one of the most intimidating environments in the country in WisePies Arena.”
“We would love to have as many students as possible,” said head women’s basketball coach Yvonne Sanchez. “Being part of the university and all that it entails, athletics is really important for student participation and we would love to have students come watch our team play.”
The athletic department will be distributing tickets on campus to make it easy for students to get their seats for upcoming games. Representatives from the spirit squad, marketing department and the UNM Gameday Ambassadors will be in attendance, with free food and games for all students who swing by.
For students who are unable to attend the event, student tickets are always available at the UNM Book Store (starting Tuesday Jan. 26) or the WisePies Arena Box Office all the wayup to game time.
